Herbert Bockhorn was disappointed with the team's performance as Huddersfield Town were knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the First Round by Lincoln City.

Harry Anderson’s second-half volley settled the tie at the John Smith’s Stadium and ensured the visitors’ progression to the Second Round of the competition.

“We are disappointed. We made too many mistakes, we didn’t perform as a team, we didn’t want it more than the other team.

“Each one has to look at themselves, how they can improve and how they can help the team more to win games and score goals.”

Herbert and his teammates reflected on the performance with Head Coach Jan Siewert, after the match.

“He asked us about how we feel, what we did wrong and what we can improve on. It was a deep conversation between us and the Coach.”

The full-back was one of seven players in the starting XI to be handed a Town debut by Jan Siewert for the First Round tie. Herbert believes the team could have done more to get a result on the evening.

“I can’t really look at each player, but we weren’t brave enough. We didn’t play simple, that’s why the performance wasn’t good."
