Fraizer Campbell expressed his disappointment after Huddersfield Town’s 2-1 defeat to Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

The Terriers are still searching for the first win of the season and despite taking the lead against the Hatters they were beaten.

When speaking after the game, Fraizer explained how difficult the result was to take in the dressing room.

“It’s very tough, we’ve come away from home, these guys have just been promoted, so we knew they’d be coming at us and trying to make it hard for us to play our football.

“We dug deep as a team, went in at half-time 0-0, and came out in the second half and got ourselves ahead in the game.

“Lack of concentration, a couple of decisions not going our way and we came out losing the game.

“It’s just the fine margins at the minute, when a cross is just too far above or behind someone or where the final shot misses the target or whatever, we need to tweak that. When we tweak that confidence will grow.”

The momentum of the game shifted after Karlan Grant gave Town the lead.

Campbell explained why that was and what the Terriers should’ve done to stop them from capitalising on it.

“It gave them a wakeup call I think, the crowd got behind them, and they started putting pressure on us.

“It was up to us, as the away team, to kill their momentum and not to get sucked in with the hype around the Stadium and to sap the confidence out of them, we haven’t done that, and it cost us.”

We now enter the first international campaign of the season and the striker detailed how he can help his teammates get over what has been a difficult start.

“I’ve been around for a long time, I’ve got experience and been in situations like this before.

“Hopefully, I can use that to help some of the younger lads who haven’t been in this kind of predicament before and get them out of it.

“You have to learn from your mistakes, but you can’t linger on them for too long, if you do that you’ll be struggling.

“I’m new to this and new to the Club. Over the last few weeks I’ve seen enough here that we are a lot better than we are showing.

“It’s just about believing in ourselves, trying to get that togetherness, digging deep and getting results.”
