Watch all the action from Huddersfield Town’s Sky Bet Championship opener against Derby County.
The Terriers were beaten 2-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium by Phillip Cocu’s Rams, in what was a close encounter.
Two goals in five minutes from Tom Lawrence put the visitors ahead. The winger capitalised on a mistake at the back for his first and expertly curled the ball in from 20-yards out for his second.
Town kept fighting despite being 2-0 down and pulled a goal back through Karlan Grant. The striker expertly dispatched a spot kick after Bacuna was fouled in the area.
Jan Siewert’s side kept pressing for an equaliser in the second half, but Derby County held firm.
