Watch all the action from Huddersfield Town’s First Round Carabao Cup match against Lincoln City.
The Terriers were beaten 1-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium by Danny Cowley’s Imps and knocked out of the competition.
In what was a below-par performance by Town, young goalkeeper Ryan Schofield – who made his competitive debut for his hometown club – was the shinning light, however, making a string of impressive saves.
The Lincoln City chances eventually turned into the first goal of the game. Harry Anderson was unmarked at the back post and placed a deep cross past the ‘keeper.
Town tried to create chances, the best falling to Steve Mounié, but the Benin international head well over the bar from 10-yards out.
Jan Siewert’s side also had two penalty appeals turned down with moments remaining.
