Town Under-19s will travel to take on Śląsk Wrocław on Wednesday 17 April 2019

- Young Terriers to face Śląsk Wrocław
- Only game on tour of Poland for Dean Whitehead’s side
- Squad preparing for game at base in Opalencia

Huddersfield Town Under-19s will face Śląsk Wrocław in the first and final game of their trip to Poland on Wednesday 17 April 2019; 3pm kick-off (local time).

Dean Whitehead’s Under-19s were originally scheduled to face Warta Poznań on Monday afternoon, but with the game being cancelled, Wednesday’s fixture will be the only match on the tour.

The fixture will take place at the training base at Opalencia, before the travelling squad return to West Yorkshire on Thursday.

Town will face a youth side from Śląsk Wrocław, who play in the Ekstraklasa; the highest tier in Polish football.

The trip to Poland is the Young Terriers’ fifth trip to the European mainland in 2018/19 following visits to Czech Republic, Portugal, Italy and Spain.

In the Young Terriers’ last outing before travelling to Poland, the Under-19s were victorious away at Burnley, courtesy of a late goal from Micah Obiero.

Dean Whitehead has a strong squad at his disposal for the game, with First Team players Demeaco Duhaney and Aaron Rowe available. Both have made their Premier League debuts for Town in 2018/19.

Midfielder Matty Daly has also travelled with the squad. Daly is yet to feature for the First Team this season but has been included in the senior squad this season.

All three players also featured in the Under-19s win at Burnley last week.
