Terence Kongolo previews Huddersfield Town’s match against Liverpool FC

“Everyone wants to win this game” said Terence Kongolo as he spoke to #HTTV ahead of Huddersfield Town’s Premier League game against Liverpool FC.
Town faces title chasers Liverpool FC on Friday evening at Anfield as the Merseyside Club continues to compete with Manchester City for the Premier League trophy.
When speaking to #HTTV, Terence explained that he knew the circumstances around the game, but that he was focused on performing for everyone at the Club.
“Liverpool have to win this game, but for us, for everyone at Huddersfield Town, the fans, the people working, everyone wants to win this game.
“It’s a good game where you can test yourself. They have to win, but me as a professional footballer, I want to win.”
Despite Town sitting bottom of the Premier League table, the defender still has the belief that the Terriers can get something from Anfield.
“It’s a difficult game, they are top of the league, but I think we trained good in the last days. It’s been a tough season, but I still have faith in the team.
“The team spirit is good. Every professional footballer wants to win. We go into the game with a positive feeling and we will give everything.”
Terence will face the likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino on Friday evening, but that isn’t a prospect he’s concerned about.
“I am a defender, I try to do my job, we do it as a whole team and we will see what the plan is for Friday.”
The 25-year-old has been playing at centre-back with Christopher Schindler for a number of weeks and he detailed how he enjoys their partnership.
“He’s a good defender and played almost every game. We have good communication on the pitch, he talks a lot and I respect him as a professional footballer.
“For me, he’s a good player and I can learn a lot off him. He always gives everything, defend as well and is good on the ball.
“We try to keep a clean sheet every game, it’s not easy, but every game we still try it.”
Terence Kongolo also discusses his relationship with Virgil van Dijk and how the Town supporters give him power.
