Head Coach Jan Siewert explained that his Huddersfield Town side will try to use the final five games of the season to build some momentum going into next season.

The Terriers will compete in the Sky Bet Championship next season but Siewert has set his side specific aims to achieve in the final games of the campaign.

“The target for us is to give our best in training sessions and in all the games because we are representing the Club.

“Still, we can be proud that we are part of this league. Unfortunately, we are no more after the end of the season, but at the moment we are proud to be part of this league.

“We want to show our best and this belongs to each player.

“We try to build some momentum, but when you look at the opponents we play next, this isn’t easy. We will try because it’s our ambition.

“It’s the work that comes first and I will stick to this. We will work and then we will continue.

“For me, it’s important to know that each team is very strong, and no-one is expected something from us. We are free to go there and to try our best.”

This will be Spurs’ third game at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium and the match falls between the Club’s Champions League games against Manchester City.

Jan Siewert, however, doesn’t believe that gives his side an advantage this weekend.

“I think in football there’s never a perfect time because you always have professional players wanting to win games. The ones from my team and the ones from Tottenham.

“It’s more about us and how we solve the problems that they give us.

“They are a good team, I know them, and they are able to play different shapes. This is something for us to work on. We can be proud to go there and give our best there.

“It’s a fantastic Stadium, so we will all enjoy playing there. We are happy to go there, and we will give our best to show what we can do on the pitch.”

When speaking ahead of the game, Siewert also detailed the latest team news.

“It’s interesting for me, everyone says I rotate quite a lot but when there’s injuries or illness you have to put another player on the pitch, which is normal for me.

“It’s not about rotation, it’s about looking at who’s available for each game this season. This week I will have to look at who is really fit and who can try their best against Tottenham.

“It’s the same with the goalkeepers and the players; I have to look at everyone because they are still part of this squad.

“Ben (Hamer) had a good game against Crystal Palace, and I’ve only had a few possibilities to see him, so he will start against Tottenham Hotspur.”
