Juninho Bacuna has urged his teammates to give everything they’ve got for the Huddersfield Town supporters in the remaining games of the 2018/19 campaign.

The 21-year-old midfielder has become a fans’ favourite over the last couple of months after showing good passion and aggression on the pitch.

When speaking to #HTTV, ‘Bacca’ detailed how the fans help him on the pitch.

“For me the fans are most important for the Club. They can bring a lot of energy to the players and that’s what this team needs – a lot of energy.

“When the fans start cheering and stuff, you see one or two extra percent in the players and that’s what we need in the last few games.”

The aim for the final matches of the season for Juninho Bacuna is simple.

“Show your best, show what you can do, enjoy the fans, play for the Club. There’s still five games left in the Premier League and you have to give everything for them.”

That starts with this weekend’s Premier League game against Spurs.

The Terriers are the third team to play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the midfielder wants to write Town’s name in the record books by becoming the first opposition side to score there.

“I am personally looking forward to this game because Tottenham is one of the biggest clubs in England and it’s a dream to play against the big clubs.

“They’ve got a new Stadium, so we will be playing there for the first time; it’s exciting.

“They will have to get used to their Stadium, so maybe we will have a chance. The crowd and everything will be different for them.

“We will go there with a good mindset. If we go there with the mindset of wanting to play our game, then hopefully we can get some points.”

Since Jan Siewert was appointed as Head Coach, the youngster has played in the middle of midfield and at right-back.

He explained how both the roles fit his game and what he has to do differently in each of them.

“I am an aggressive player, I like to play forward. As a midfielder you get more of the ball and you can play passes to the strikers to get them into a good position.

“At right-back you are more on the side, so you focus more on one thing. You play one vs one mostly, so it’s different. I’m trying to do it in my way and I’ve done that in the games I played there.”
