Matty Daly made his Huddersfield Town First Team debut in Saturday’s Premier League game against Watford.

In doing so he became the third Academy player to make their senior debut for the Club since Jan Siewert’s appointment in January 2019.

The 18-year-old, who operates best as an attacking midfielder, made his First Team debut in the 2-1 defeat to Watford when he came on as a first half substitute to replace Jonathan Hogg.

Daly, who was born in Stockport, joined Town’s Academy as an Under-15 player and has continued to impress ever since.

The Young Terrier has gone from strength to strength and has made seven appearances for Dean Whitehead’s Under-19 side during the 2018/19 campaign after returning from injury. Those included starts in the recent win over Burnley and the draw with Miedź Legnica during the Academy’s trip to Poland.

Daly is also an England youth international and he has made 10 appearances and grabbed the one goal for the Nation’s Under-17 side.
