Dean Whitehead’s side was made up of senior Academy players such as Demeaco Duhaney, Aaron Rowe and Jaden Brown, whilst several trialists such as Abdul Sankoh and Craig Fasanmade also featured.
Fasanmade, who plays for Oxford City, got the only goal of the game after firing a low strike past the goalkeeper from range on 23 minutes.
The Young Terriers were the dominant side throughout Friday afternoon’s game and had second-half chances to extend the advantage through Jaheim Headley and Micah Obiero, but the score remained 1-0 when the full-time whistle blew.
