Seven-year-old Bella from Texas, US enjoyed a VIP trip to West Yorkshire where she got the chance to meet her hero Aaron Mooy!
Bella and her father made the 4,600-mile trip all the way from Dallas, Texas to meet Town’s Australian international and to watch him play as The Terriers faced Leicester City.
Her story is one that touched the hearts of many, having noticed Mooy playing for Australia in the FIFA World Cup on TV.
‘I like him, he’s like me’ exclaimed the seven-year-old, who lost her hair due to the treatment she was undergoing for Medulloblastoma; a form of brain cancer in children.
The youngster’s trip started on Friday at Huddersfield Town’s PPG Canalside Training Ground where she got the chance to meet Aaron Mooy for the first time along with the rest of the Huddersfield Town squad.
She then had lunch with the First Team and spent some time with Aaron before heading back to the hotel to gear up for an exciting day in store on Saturday.
Bella was a guest in the Boardroom for Town’s match against Leicester City and was Mooy’s mascot walking onto the pitch with him at the John Smith’s Stadium ahead of the game.
Whilst the result ended in defeat for Town, Bella got her golden moment as Aaron Mooy got on the scoresheet converting a penalty in the 52nd minute with Bella’s delight caught on camera for all to see!

The costs of Bella’s trip to the UK have been covered by Huddersfield-based PAXMAN, whose US operations are also headquartered in Texas.
