17-year-old midfielder Scott High spoke with #HTTV about his development at the Club and to preview the upcoming EDT game against Brentford B - which he could feature in – on Wednesday 12 September.

Scott High has been a part of the Huddersfield Town family for more than nine years now and has progressed to become a vital young development player.

During the international break, the First Team played an inter-team match as First-Team players were mixed with talented Under-19 and EDT players. Town’s Captain Tommy Smith said the game was valuable for players who wanted to ‘get minutes into their legs, return from injury, keep minutes up and most importantly gain on pitch experience.’

Young Scott was given the opportunity to play in midfield next to a Town player who he has modelled his own game on, Jonathan Hogg.

“At first, I was nervous to play with him (Hogg) but it was a good challenge for myself to play with and against players in the first team… by the end I felt like I fitted into the team”, Scott said.

The U19 squad will be heading to Portugal later this month to play Sporting Clube de Braga and Real Club Celta e Vigo, to test themselves against international opponents.

Scott is looking forward to playing against these teams as he reflects on the pre-season tour against Bayern Munich and the valuable lessons the team learnt from playing a footballing giant.

The youngster could feature for Huddersfield Town’s Elite Development squad as they travel to face Brentford B on Wednesday 12 September 2018.

Managed by Kevin O’Connor, The Bees B side come into the game on the back of consecutive wins against AFC Bournemouth U23s at both the Vitality Stadium and Griffin Park.

The game kicks-off at 1pm and takes place at Brentford’s Training Ground (100 Jersey Road, Osterley, Middlesex, TW5 0TP) which is also open for supporters.
