Christopher Schindler tops the FPL stats for Huddersfield Town defenders

- Schindler has won more headed duels than any Huddersfield Town defender
- Chris Löwe has recorded more successful crosses than any teammate
- Depoitre’s aerial ability can be a big weapon against Spurs

Christopher Schindler (£4.4m) has the potential to dent the hopes of many Fantasy Premier League managers this weekend.

The German will be looking to prevent Harry Kane (£12.4m) from making an impact as Huddersfield Town entertain Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 7.

Schindler’s defensive qualities will be vital against Spurs.

He is the Terriers’ leading player for clearances, blocks and interceptions (CBI), with a total of 33.

And his aerial battle with Kane could be decisive.

Schindler has won 25 headed duels, more than double the total of any other Huddersfield Town defender.

Meanwhile, six of Kane’s 17 efforts have been headed attempts on goal.

Chris Löwe’s (£4.4m) delivery from the left flank can also be a factor for the hosts.

The full-back’s totals of four chances created and eight successful crosses are both more than any team-mate.

This could be significant, as Spurs have conceded 16 headed attempts – only five sides have allowed more.

Indeed, that possible weakness in the visitors’ backline may be exploited by Laurent Depoitre (£5.3m).

The Belgian impressed on his first start of the season against Leicester City last weekend.

Selected ahead of Steve Mounié (£5.9m) as the lone striker, Depoitre supplied the assist for Mathias Zanka’s (£4.5m) opener at the King Power Stadium.

Depoitre contested 17 headed duels against the Foxes, and his aerial ability can be a big weapon against a Spurs defence that arrives with just one clean sheet in the opening six Gameweeks.
