After joining Huddersfield Town at the age of 16, Philip Billing has progressed through the Club’s Academy into the First Team, but how? The #HTTV cameras found out!
Following a successful one-week trial period with Town, Phil moved 950 miles from his homeland to Yorkshire, away from his family and friends for a chance of playing football in England.
The 6’ 4” central midfielder developed through the Terriers’ Academy after working very closely with the coaches before making his First Team debut in a 2-0 defeat to Leicester City on 26 April 2014.
From there Phil went from strength to strength and worked his way into the First Team squad.
The Denmark Under-21 international has started every game for David Wagner’s side in the Premier League so far during the 2018/19 season and scored in the 1-1 draw with Everton.
To find out the true story of how Phil developed at Huddersfield Town, #HTTV interviewed the midfielder exclusively, whilst also speaking to Mathias Zanka, Mark Hudson, Tony Carss (former coach) and Karen Crosland (Town’s Head of Safeguarding) to find out more about him.
