“I think our performance was top class and we were very unlucky today not to come away with something” said Jonathan Hogg as he reviewed Town’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite coming away from the game with no points, Town’s midfielder explained to #HTTV that it’s just small details that cost his side at the John Smith’s Stadium this afternoon.

“We limited them to chances and the ones they did get, they took away; it’s those fine margins in this league.

“Lolo’s strike comes off the bar, but on other days it goes into the top corner; that’s what I mean by fine margins.

“Tottenham had two chances and took them; that’s the difference.”

Town’s Vice Captain was keen to stress how outstanding the supporters were at the John Smith’s Stadium, explaining that atmosphere’s like that will help push the players on throughout the season.

“The fans were excellent again today, they certainly help us push forwards and put us on the front foot.

“We need to stick together, we’ve got an excellent dressing room, excellent bunch of lads, and we will do that.

“Everyone’s fighting for their shirt, the competition is excellent and in the last three or four weeks in training the performances have been top class; it’s only a matter of time that results start coming our way.”
