Aaron Mooy spoke of his enjoyment in a game where he operated in a slightly different position as Town put in another solid performance that ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Australian midfielder was operating on the right of midfield and was full of praise for his teammates as they helped to make the role a more enjoyable one with their approach to the game.
“We had lots of the ball, playing through the lines and linking up well and getting the ball into areas to get in a cross or a shot. It’s enjoyable when you play football like that.
“I played a bit of a different position today more on the right. I enjoyed it, I was getting the ball in the hole and in pockets. We have players who want the ball, and this is what you want when you’re in this position.”
Putting in good performances have been an occurring theme of Town’s performances of late as Mooy echoed the point.
“We are putting in good performances every game, it’s important that we are playing at our highest level and we need to continue that and try raise the bar higher each week.”
David Wagner’s side will now take a break from Premier League action with the October international break and Mooy was full of praise for the fans who sold out their full allocation at Turf Moor.
“We still know we have to do a lot more if we want to stay in the Premier League. They say a point away is a good point and it was a good performance as well. We can take some positive things from this match and take that into the next few weeks.
“The fans are always positive, get behind us and help us push on. It’s enjoyable to play in front of them and they always travel and fill it out wherever they go – we all appreciate it.
