Florent Hadergjonaj speaks to #HTTV about his international ambitions

After receiving his second call-up for the Switzerland National Team, Florent Hadergjonaj explained to #HTTV that he is firmly focused on playing well and regularly for Huddersfield Town in the Premier League.
At a young age, Flo had a big decision to make, whether to play for his home country Switzerland or to play for Kosovo – the birth place of his parents.
During his interview with #HTTV, Flo explained why that decision wasn’t too difficult for him.
“I was born in Switzerland and Switzerland gave everything to my family; it helped me grow up in a good situation.
“For me, it was clear that I would play for Switzerland because it gave me the best chance to be a professional football player.”
Flo, who was the only male professional footballer to come from Langnau in Switzerland, made his debut for the National Team in 2017 and received his second call-up during the October 2018 international break.
The 24-year-old explained to #HTTV how much he enjoyed the week and how playing well in the Premier League for Huddersfield Town, will help meet his ambitions of being regularly called-up by Switzerland.
“I was very happy that I had my second call, ok I didn’t play in any games, but I was in the squad; it was good to train with the lads.
“It was a nice week, a nice experience, something else. Now, I’m back at Huddersfield Town, I try my best in games and training and then hopefully I will get another call-up next month.
“You have to try your best in games, play games to show the Manager of the National Team that you’re available, playing well and playing regularly. You have to do your best and try everything.
“I always want to be in the National Team and the most important thing to help me do that is by playing good games for Huddersfield Town.”
