Six members of Town’s First Team represent their respective nations in the October international break

Six members of Huddersfield Town’s First Team squad played for their respective nations during the October 2018 international break.
Abdelhamid Sabiri (above) made his debut for the Germany Under-21s as the young side beat the Republic of Ireland in the nation’s final European Championship qualifier.
Town’s attacking midfielder, who wasn’t used in the country’s 2-1 win over Norway, had a hand in the first goal; he struck the bar with a fierce effort before Janni Serra put in the rebound.
The Germans finished top of Group 5 with 25 points from 10 games and have qualified for this summer’s tournament.
Also helping his country qualify for the summer’s U21 Euros was Isaac Mbenza.
The winger, who earned his 11th cap for the young side, set up the first goal as Belgium’s U21s won 3-0 against Sweden.
Belgium topped Group 6 with 26 points from 10 games – the youngsters won their last eight matches in the U21 Euro qualifiers.
Steve Mounié earned his tenth cap for Benin as the Squirrels beat league leaders Algeria in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.
After losing earlier in the international break 2-0 to Algeria, the nation then beat them 1-0 at home.
Mounié’s side currently sits second in Group D, behind Algeria on goal difference and two point ahead of third placed Togo.
Jon Stanković earned his 18th cap for Slovenia’s Under-21s as the young side drew 1-1 with France. Slovenia was the only side to take points of France during the Euro qualifiers!
Slovenia’s Under-21s also drew with Bulgaria earlier in the international break and finished second in Group 9.
The draw with Bulgaria, however, ended the Slovenia’s hopes of qualifying for this summer’s Under-21 European Championships.
Philip Billing opened his account for Denmark’s Under-21s when making his eighth cap for the nation in the U21 Euro qualifier against Poland.
The midfielder put the Young Dane’s ahead before Poland equalised from the penalty spot just three minutes later.
Phil didn’t feature in the young Danes' 3-0 win over Faroe Islands as he returned to PPG Canalside for treatment on a small knock to ankle. He will be assessed ahead of this weekend’s game.
Denmark’s U21s topped Group 3 with 23 points from 10 games and qualified for this summer’s competition.
Mathias Zanka featured in both of Denmark’s matches during the October international break meaning he now has 18 caps for his country.
He started in the Danes’ 0-0 UEFA Nations League draw with the Republic of Ireland on Saturday and came on in the 2-0 friendly win over Austria.
Town teammate Jonas Lössl was an unused substitute in both games and still has one cap.
24-year-old full-back Florent Hadergjonaj was called back up to the Switzerland squad during this international break. Flo made his debut for the Swiss Senior Team in an international friendly against Belarus in June 2017 and could add to his solitary cap during this break.
Switzerland, managed by Vladimir Petković, lost 2-1 to Belgium in the UEFA National League before beating Iceland 2-1. Flo, however, was an unused substitute in both games.
The Swiss currently top Group A2 with six points from three games and are ahead of Belgium on goal difference.
Aaron Mooy received a call-up from Australia, however, he stayed at PPG Canalside after picking up a groin injury against Burnley.
