Head Coach's thoughts on the entertaining 1-1 draw with West Ham

Another excellent Huddersfield Town display was met with frustration by Head Coach David Wagner as he bemoaned his side once again not have the rub of the green as the woodwork came to West Ham’s rescue on several separate occasions.

Wagner also felt that the Terriers may well have had a penalty in the first-half but admitted that Manuel Pellegrini's visitors also created a number of chances in a frantic five-minute spell which mirrored a fast opening to the clash where Alex Pritchard placed Town ahead.

A win over Fulham and today's draw secured four vital points ahead of the international fixtures next weekend, something which the Head Coach knows is a positive and that can be built on prior to the trip to Wolves in a fortnight's time.

Town’s Head Coach believed his men produced some good football which could well have captured the points, but in the end, it wasn't to be as the terraces witnessed a superb game of football.

An update was provided on Chris Löwe, who left the field prematurely through a shoulder injury, as well as a general squad update in preparation for that next trip to the Midlands and the upcoming training camp in Marbella.

Following the game, David Wagner commented:

"We were, again, very unlucky and it's frustrating. We hit the inside of the post, the bar, Steve (Mounié) had a good chance and I think we should've had a penalty.

"Four points out of this week is good. The performances have been good. Our defensive performance was good against a very impressive opponent today. We are on the right path and like I said on Monday, we are in the race.

"Today he (Pritchard) got a goal that he deserved. In general, the whole team performed on a really high level. It showed in the last minutes just how much we wanted to win the game, and the support was great again."
