Huddersfield Town Club Captain Tommy Smith deemed the win over Wolverhampton Wanderers as one of the Club’s best away performances in the Premier League.

The Terriers took the lead after six minutes through Aaron Mooy, before the Australian doubled his tally and the Club’s lead in the second half.

Following the win, Tommy Smith told #HTTV that the Club’s game plan worked superbly in a performance that was up there with the best.

“I came in after the game and said to Hoggy, that was one of our best (away performances in the Premier League).

“We were comfortable, didn’t look like conceding and could’ve scored more than two goals. It’s definitely up there with one of our best performances.”

“We are all delighted. We knew it would be a tough place to come, but we worked hard this week on the training ground how to pose a threat to Wolves and how to stop them from playing; I think we executed that game plan perfectly.

“All credit to the players, the staff, the fans for turning up in their numbers again; it’s a great day for the Football Club.”

That win sees Town pick up seven points from the last three games and Tommy explained how the Club’s Terrier Spirit shone through, once again, in the win.

“Myself and Hoggy, we were trying to drill the message of having to work hard and being aggressive at the start of the game because if you let this team have space and time on the ball they would punish us.

“We knew they had good players, so we had to be at it, in their faces and I thought we were excellent.”

The right-back made his second appearance of the Premier League season and explained to #HTTV how he was pleased to be back on the pitch.

“It felt nice to be back, it’s felt like a long time since I’ve been on the grass. To play today, play my part, get a clean sheet and the three points, it’s a great day.”
