Huddersfield Town’s PPG Cup – a huge tournament for junior football clubs held in association with Club Partner PPG – is returning in June 2019!
Following on from the success of the summer’s tournament, once again aspiring young footballers from across the region will have the chance to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Aaron Mooy, Christopher Schindler and Terence Kongolo by playing in the tournament arranged by the Club.
The venue this year for the PPG Cup 2019 is at, the home of Shelley Community Football Club (The Stafflex Arena, Storthes Hall Park, Storthes Hall Lane, Huddersfield, HD8 0WA) due to the redevelopment at PPG Canalside.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday 15 June and Sunday 16 June 2019, with all matches taking place on grass pitches. It will take the format of a six-a-side tournament for teams aged between six (6) and thirteen (13), with first and second placed teams receiving medals and the winning team receiving a team trophy from a special Huddersfield Town guest!
This year we have created leagues for two more age groups, the Under-6s and Under-13s. Under-6s, 7s, 8s and 9s will compete on the Saturday 15 June 2019, with Under-10s, 11s, 12s and 13s competing on the Sunday 16 June 2019.
There will be refreshments available all day from the kitchen and the BBQ. In addition to the main event, there will be a wide variety of activities on the day to keep the whole family entertained.
