Huddersfield Town welcomes two new Young Terriers to the Club’s Academy in preparation for the start of the 2018/19 campaign.
Kit Elliott (right) and Sam Sharrock-Peplow (left) are the latest players to put pen-to-paper on scholarship deals with Town after the Club signed 15 youngsters for its Academy sides in April 2018.
The scholarships for the Young Terriers will officially start at the beginning of the upcoming season, with both Kit and Sam signing two-year deals.
Kit, who started twice for Leigh Bromby’s Under-18s last season during a trial period, will be part of the Academy’s new Under-19s side, whilst Sam, who has also started two games for Town’s Under-18s, will join the Academy’s Under-17s side.
With the Academy moving age groups to Under-19s and Under-17s for the forthcoming campaign, this year’s intake of scholars is slightly larger than in previous seasons.
The Under-17s players will feature in a games programme consisting of the EPPP’s Category 4 fixtures against Under-18 sides.
Whereas Town’s Under-19s side will play a bespoke set of fixtures and tournaments arranged by the Club.
