Wagner makes two changes to starting XI

Chris Löwe makes his first Premier League start since January in one of two changes made by David Wagner to Town’s line-up for today’s game at Manchester City.

The 29 year-old German defender is making his first top-flight start in 10 games today, with his last coming against Liverpool at the John Smith’s Stadium on 30 January. He replaces Rajiv van La Parra in the line-up today, with the Dutchman among the substitutes.

Club Captain Tommy Smith also comes back into the line-up to make his first start in four games. He’ll face his former club; Tommy spent eight years in the City Academy before joining Town in 2012.

The Terriers are otherwise unchanged from last weekend’s game against Everton, which means Aaron Mooy also starts against his old club.

It’s a family affair for Terence Kongolo today, too; his younger brother Rodney, a midfielder, is on the books with today’s opponent, although he’s currently out on loan at Doncaster Rovers.

Wagner is still without the services of the injured Ryan Schofield (elbow), Elias Kachunga (ankle), Danny Williams (ankle), Tom Ince (hamstring) and Michael Hefele (knee).
