Goalkeeper to become a permanent Terrier!

Jonas Lössl will become a permanent Huddersfield Town player on 1 July 2018 after the clause was triggered in his loan agreement from 1. FSV Mainz 05.
An undisclosed fee has been agreed for the Danish international goalkeeper, who has been a permanent fixture in Town’s debut Premier League season so far.
One of only two players to feature in every second of top-flight football for the Terriers during the current campaign, Jonas kept his eighth clean sheet of the season in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at home to Swansea City.
Lössl arrived at the John Smith’s Stadium with over 250 top-flight appearances under his belt in Denmark, France and Germany, as well as European and international experience, and has excelled upon his arrival in HD1.
This week, he’s been named once again in the Denmark squad for upcoming internationals against Panama and Chile.
Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner commented:
“The fact that Jonas will join the Club permanently in the summer is excellent news for Huddersfield Town, following on from the boost that Florent Hadergjonaj will also become a full-time Terrier last week.
“We knew that Jonas had big quality when he joined us on loan and that has certainly proven to be the case. The quality of his distribution has been perfect for the way we play, but he’s also made big, big saves at important moments. I also think we’ve seen him improve as the season has gone on.
“He’s been a huge part of our season so far, on and off the pitch, and I’m sure he’ll continue to be as we aim to retain our status in the Premier League.”
