Huddersfield Town up for the Sporting Achievement of the Year award

- You have until Thursday 15 March to vote for HTAFC

Huddersfield Town has been nominated for the Sporting Achievement of the Year in the Yorkshire Choice Awards after achieving promotion to the Premier League.

The Sporting Achievement of the Year award recognises teams who have had an amazing season and gone from strength to strength. The category covers all sports but must be within the Yorkshire area.

The winner will be announced at the Centenary Pavilions at Leeds United on 13th April 2018. Tickets can be purchased from £60 each in the Early Bird Offer in addition to numerous table package options.

Sponsored by Wetherby Whaler, Town is up against Castleford Tigers, a Rugby League team who finished top of the table for the first time in their 91 year history, winning the league leaders shield.

Other notable sports stars in their category are British parasport athlete Kadeena Cox and former Yorkshire and England cricketer Ryan Sidebottom who retired in September.

The Brownlee brothers shared the award last year after they made history in winning the gold and silver medals in the Rio Olympics triathlon. Alistair crossed the finish line first, just ahead of his brother Jonny.

Hannah Cockcroft, Femmes Fatales and that man again, Ryan Sidebottom were the three finalists in 2017.

It's not only Huddersfield Town who you can vote for! Directors Ann Hough & Sean Jarvis have both received nominations for awards at the 2018 Yorkshire Choice Awards.

Town’s Operations Director Ann Hough has been nominated for the ‘Business Woman of the Year 2018’ award, whilst Commercial Director Sean Jarvis has been nominated for the ‘Business Man of the Year 2018’ award.

You have until Thursday 15 March 2017 to vote for Huddersfield Town, Sean Jarvis and Ann Hough; you can do so by CLICKING HERE!
