Huddersfield Town’s Under-17s side will take on Nottingham Forest in the U18 Professional Development League on Thursday 29 March 2018.

The match will take place behind-closed-doors at PPG Canalside, with kick-off scheduled for noon.

Leigh Bromby’s side occupy ninth place in the Under-18 Professional Development League North table, having so far earned 33 points from 25 matches.

Town’s Academy Manager is likely to name an Under-17s side consisting largely of first years against the Reds as the majority of Town’s second year scholars are currently gaining their first tastes of senior football through work experience spells at non-league sides.

The Young Terriers fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Millwall last time out, despite Ben Jackson giving Town the lead in the first half.

Nottingham Forest also head into the game on the back of a loss after being beaten 6-0 by Watford’s Under-18s side.

Managed by Under-18 Lead Coach Gareth Holmes, Forest sit sixth in the league with 38 points from 24 games.

Town ran out 4-1 winners over Forest when the two sides met at the Nottingham Forest Football Academy earlier in the season. Goals from George Danaher, Dom Tear, Olly Dyson and Mason O’Malley secured all three points for the Young Terriers that day.
