Huddersfield Town striker Laurent Depoitre explained how disappointed he was with the Club’s defeat against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.

The Belgium international, who returned to Town’s starting line-up for the first time in six games, discussed the Terriers’ game plan against Newcastle United and described what he thought went wrong in the Premier League clash.

Lolo admitted that Town has to be more clinical in front of goal, whilst explaining that each and every player gave everything and battled for every ball.

The striker explained that the excellent team spirit in the group will help Town going into the last six games of the season, declaring that the Club’s focus is already on Brighton & Hove Albion next weekend.

When discussing the game, Laurent Depoitre commented:

“We are disappointed. We knew that Newcastle were good in the transition game, so we played quite deep. Then we knew that we would have to be good in the transition game.

“They had a few chances in the first half, fortunately they didn’t score but even though they didn’t have too many chances in the second half, they scored in the 80th minute, so, yes, it’s hard.

“We didn’t have many chances and that was the problem.”
