Five cyclists have begun a 500 mile journey to raise money for the Keep It Up campaign and other charities close to their hearts.

The riders, who couldn’t take part in Pedal for Pounds 9 ‘The Last Goal Post’, decided to set off on their own journey travelling from coast to coast before finishing back in Huddersfield.

On Wednesday 13 June 2018 at 8.30am, the cyclists set off from Huddersfield Town’s PPG Canalside Training Ground heading 100 miles east to Bridlington.

After reaching the East Coast, the cyclists will continue to ride 100 miles a day from Bridlington to Skegness, Skegness to Matlock and Matlock to Southport before finishing their journey back where they started in Huddersfield.

The cyclists aim to raise over £9,000 for their various charities, which include the Keep It Up campaign, Marie Curie and the Dove House Hospice in Hull.

The funds raised for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign will benefit the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as well as the Club’s three charity partners; the Forget Me Not Hospice, Hollybank Trust and the Town Foundation.
