Huddersfield Town’s First Team Coach Andrew Hughes has earned the Football Association’s highest coaching qualification.

During the closed season, ‘Hughesy’ has completed and graduated from an 18-month FA course, earning their level 5 coaching qualification – the UEFA Pro License.

Andrew attended the graduation ceremony at St. George’s Park on 20 June 2018 to receive his certificate, which was presented to him by current West Bromwich Albion boss Darren Moore.

Hughes was one of only 27 coaches to earn the Pro License in the latest cohort alongside the likes of Champions League winners Nicky Butt and Nemanja Vidic, working under course leader Guy Whittingham.

Andrew joined the Terriers as First Team Coach on 1 June 2016, adding a wealth of experience of the English leagues to the technical staff after a long and successful playing career as well as coaching experience at Bolton Wanderers, Rotherham United and Crystal Palace.

Alongside Head Coach David Wagner and assistant Christoph Bühler, Hughes agreed a new three-year contract with the Club in late May 2018.
