Young Terriers discover opponents in EFL U18 competition

- Town’s U17s drawn in Group 2 of Youth Alliance Cup
- Young Terriers will face Notts County, Preston North End & Port Vale

Huddersfield Town’s Under-17 side has been drawn in Group 2 of the EFL Youth Alliance Cup alongside Notts County, Preston North End and Port Vale.

The Cup is a supplementary competition for Academy sides held alongside the regular league campaign. Huddersfield Town will take part in the Northern region of the North/South regional split in the initial stages of the competition.

Town will face each of the other three sides in its group with the top side and the second placed team with the best record from Groups 1, 2 & 3 and 4, 5 & 6 also progressing.

The provisional date and times for the games are listed below but are subject to change:

25 August 2018 - Huddersfield Town vs Notts County
15 September 2018 - Huddersfield Town vs Preston North End
6 October 2018 - Port Vale vs Huddersfield Town

Kick-offs for all the above games are scheduled for 11am (subject to change).

Luton Town was Youth Alliance Cup champion last season triumphing in a 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic at Kenilworth Road to be crowned winners for a second time in three seasons.
