Diakhaby makes Terriers debut in latest friendly

- Adam Diakhaby makes Town debut vs Darmstadt
- Aaron Mooy also returns to the bench
- All fit players not involved yesterday start

Latest recruit Adama Diakhaby will make his Huddersfield Town debut this afternoon in the Terriers’ final friendly of their stay in Germany against SV Darmstadt 98.

The 22-year-old Frenchman has trained with his new teammates for the last two days and will start today’s match against the 2. Bundesliga side on the wing.

Abdelhamid Sabiri – a former player at Darmstadt – is the only player who started a game in yesterday’s Interwetten Cup to begin today’s game, whilst the substitutes’ bench is almost identical.

The one exception to that rule is Aaron Mooy, who is a substitute following his return from extended leave after the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Jonas Lössl and Zanka are still on leave – although they return to Huddersfield next week – whilst Juninho Bacuna, Danny Williams and Erik Durm are all still building up to full fitness.
