- Comments from Academy Manager Leigh Bromby
Young defender Romoney Crichlow-Noble has committed his future to Huddersfield Town after agreeing a new deal with the Club.
Romoney has put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract with the Terriers, securing his future to the Club until 2020.
The left-sided centre-half, who can also play at left-back, joined Town in March 2017 following a successful trial period with the Club.
The youngster, who was born in Luton, joined Town as a free agent having studied at the Dynamic Football Academy in Buckinghamshire whilst playing for Enfield Borough’s First Team in tier 11 of the English football pyramid.
After impressing for Town’s Under-18s towards the end of 2016/17 campaign, the defender stepped up to Under-23s level and went on to feature in 18 games this season, scoring once.
Crichlow-Noble, who has been working very closely with Mark Hudson, also scored in the Club’s Under-19 friendly at Bayern Munich as the Young Terriers ran out 2-1 winners.
Huddersfield Town’s Academy Manager Leigh Bromby commented:
“We’re delighted that Romoney has signed a new contract with Huddersfield Town.
“Under the guidance of Mark Hudson, we have seen his game progress. Romoney joined us as a left-back but he has since grown into a role as a left sided centre-half, so now the challenge for him is to make that position his own and to make further strides as we go through the year.
“Throughout the season, Romoney will have his own aims and challenges to meet and those, alongside the bespoke games programme, will help develop him further as a player.”
