PREVIEW: INTERWETTEN CUP & DARMSTADT (A)

Pre-season games in Germany for Town this weekend

- Preview Town’s games over the weekend
- Town play in the Interwetten Cup on Saturday
- SV Darmstadt are Town’s opponent on Sunday.

David Wagner’s side will participate in games on both Saturday and Sunday of this weekend, firstly competing in the Essen Cup on Saturday before travelling to face SV Darmstadt on Sunday.

The Interwetten Cup will see Huddersfield Town face Real Betis in the first semi-final in Essen before competing in either the third-place play-off or the final later on in the day.

Town’s semi-final game will kick-off at 4pm UK time (5pm local) with the third-place play-off game at 5pm (6pm local) and the final at 6pm (7pm local). Please click here for more information on Town’s participation in the Essen Cup.

The Terriers will then travel to face Darmstadt on Sunday 22 July with the game at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor kicking off at 3pm local time (2pm UK time). Please click here to find out more about Town’s final opponents in Germany.

Essen Cup

Town supporters have been assigned block E1 in the Stadium and you can purchase your tickets from the fanshops at Hafenstraße & Limbecker Platz, the Online Shop (www.interwetten-cup.de) and via the Rot-Weiss Essen Ticket-Hotline.

Tickets for the seated area are priced by the following categories:

Cat 1 - €25
Cat 2 - €20
Cat 3 - €15

General admission is priced at €9 for adults and 6€ for concessions.

Darmstadt

Huddersfield Town supporters will be located in the seated “N1” area of the Böllenfalltor Stadium and tickets are available from the box office at the stadium priced at €14.

Nearest Train Station? Essen Hauptbahnhof (Essen central station) which is a 15-minute walk to the Stadium.
Directions from Frankfurt? Follow Theatertunnel, Gutleutstraße and B44 to A648 for 4.3km and then take the A3 to Essener Str. in Bottrop for 254km. Take exit 12-Bottrop-Süd from A42 and take Borbecker Str and Econova-Allee to Emscherbruchallee in Essen

Address? Nieder-Ramstädter Str. 170, 64285 Darmstadt
Nearest Train Station? Take tram nine from Darmstadt Railway Station to the Stadium.
Directions from Frankfurt? Get on A5 from Theatertunnel, Gutleutstraße, B44, Theodor-Stern-Kai and Schwanheimer Ufer for 6.5km and then follow the A5 to Rheinstraße/B26 in Darmstadt for 26km. Continue on Rheinstraße/B26 and take Berliner Allee and Groß-Gerauer Weg to Landskronstraße

Further Information
The North Stand can be reached by choosing the entrance to the left of the big gym when you are heading towards the stadium coming from the street. On this way you will pass the box office as well as the fan store. You can get to the stadium by getting on tram line 9 that goes from the main train station, through the city centre and to the Stadium. Parking spaces around the stadium are not readily available. Please remark that the signposted parking lots for visiting supporters are half an hour of walking away from the entrance, as the regular visiting sector will not be used for this match.

Town’s kits for the fixtures on both days are still to be confirmed.

If you aren’t able to make it to any of the games this weekend, don’t worry! #HTTV+ will be streaming this and a further four games for David Wagner’s side over the course of pre-season.
