Rajiv van La Parra told #HTTV that he was feeling the benefits of a busy games programme whilst on pre-season camp in Germany.

Town played three games in a 5-day window, with the Dutchman sharing his thoughts after playing a full 90 minutes in the final game against SV Darmstadt 98.

Rajiv also spoke about the importance of playing these games to help with preparation ahead of the start of the Premier League season in three weeks’ time.

The Dutch winger also spoke about his summer, explaining how he kept his rest period short and continued fitness work over the break to ensure peak physical performance upon return.

Huddersfield Town winger Rajiv van La Parra commented:

“It was hard and was my first 90 minutes of course. It was good for the fitness to prepare us for the season; I think we did a good job.

“I think it’s better to play games because match fitness is different than in training, so it’s better to play games to make sure you are ready for the season.

“It’s good to go on holiday to rest because your body needs it after a long season. Then after that to keep the body in shape to make sure you come back in good shape.”
