As the 2018/19 Premier League season draws ever closer, David Wagner’s side will face FC Bologna in a pre-season friendly in Austria – the first of two friendlies arranged during the training camp.
The match will take place in Brixen im Thale (Schwimmbadweg 24, 6364 Brixen im Thale) on Tuesday 31 July 2018; 6pm local time kick-off (5pm UK).
Town’s opponent, FC Bologna, finished 15th in the Italian top-flight last season – three places above the relegation zone – with 39 points from 38 games.
Managed by ex-Italian World Cup winner Filippo Inzaghi, who was appointed in June to replace the departing Roberto Donadoni.
Town fans may recognise some of the names from the FC Bologna squad! Italian internationals Simone Verdi (who was top scorer last season) and Mattia Destro spearhead the attack, whilst Swiss international Blerim Džemaili and former Inter Milan player Rodrigo Palacio are still with the seven-time Serie A Champions.
