Huddersfield Town midfielder Regan Booty has today joined Vanarama National League club Aldershot Town on loan for the 2018/19 season.

The 20-year-old central midfielder playmaker has been a mainstay of Town’s Academy sides for a number of years now, but this will give Regan his first taste of senior football at a great level.

Managed by former Wycombe Wanderers boss Gary Waddock, Aldershot comes into the new campaign on the back of a fifth-placed finish in the division in 2017/18, making the Play-Offs only to lose to Ebbsfleet United in the qualifying round.

As per the terms of the agreement, Huddersfield Town has the ability to recall Regan during the January 2019 transfer window.

Holmfirth-based Regan first joined Town at under-9 level and quickly progressed up the age groups, making his debut for the Club’s under-18 team as a 15-year-old.

Booty signed his first professional contract at the Club on his 17th birthday and was a key member of the Under-21 side that won the Professional Development League title in 2016.

A regular in training with David Wagner’s First Team, Regan made his non-competitive senior debut for the Terriers in the Shankly Trophy match against Liverpool FC on 20 July 2016.

He’s currently contracted to Town until the summer of 2019, with the Club retaining the option to extend that deal by a further season at that point.
