Town’s opponent, Accrington Stanley, is preparing for a first ever season in Sky Bet League 1 after being crowned champion of Sky Bet League 2.

Stanley, managed by John Coleman, finished the 2017/18 season with 93 points from 46 games, five points ahead of second-placed Luton Town.

David Wagner’s side faced the now-League 1 outfit in a pre-season friendly ahead of the Club’s first ever Premier League campaign. A solitary goal from Tom Ince gave Town the win, in what was a good first test for the Terriers.
