David Wagner names his side for the Emirates FA Cup
Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner has named his side for today’s Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round game against Birmingham City; 3pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.
As Wagner revealed in his pre-match press conference in midweek, Joel Coleman returns to start in goal – as he did in the Third Round win at Bolton Wanderers.
Chris Löwe returns, having missed games recently with a foot issue, with the centre back pairing of Terence Kongolo and Michael Hefele starting in the competition for a second successive game too. Florent Hadergjonaj starts at right back.
On his 150th appearance for the Terriers, Jonathan Hogg captains the side from central midfield alongside Danny Williams; a scorer in the previous round.
The other scorer from the win at the Macron Stadium, Rajiv van La Parra, keeps his place in the side today, with Collin Quaner returning on the opposite flank.
Hamid Sabiri makes his first ever start at the John Smith’s Stadium in the number 10 slot this afternoon. On his only previous home appearance for the Club, he setup the equaliser in the 1-1 Premier League draw with Leicester City on 16 September 2017.
Record signing Steve Mounié starts up front again today.
Sean Scannell (groin), Elias Kachunga (knee) and Alex Pritchard (cup tied) are unavailable this afternoon, whilst Jon Gorenc Stanković is still building up his fitness after his long-term knee injury.
