- HTAFC U23s lose 2-1 at Bolton Wanderers
- Luca Colville the scorer for Town
- Highlights on #HTTV next week

Huddersfield Town Under-23s were defeated 2-1 by Bolton Wanderers in their Professional Development League North fixture on Monday evening. Despite the game being level for a large part, the host grabbed an injury time winner to secure all three points.

Mark Hudson made six changes to the side that were defeated by a single-goal at Leeds United last week as First-Team Players Dean Whitehead and Martin Cranie came into the side along with Mason O’Malley, Luca Colville, Rory Brown and Tom Bexton.

There were places on the bench for Regan Booty, Romoney Crichlow-Noble and Olly Dyson with Rarmani Edmonds-Green, Harry Spratt and Joel Coleman not involved. Tom Bexton and Rory Brown were both triallists from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The game was played at the Lancashire County FA Ground with kick-off taking place at 7pm on Monday evening.

Bolton were to take an early lead in the game through leading Professional Development League North scorer Craig Hall. The striker increased his tally in the 8th minute getting on the end of a Luca Navarro cross from the right to head past Rory Brown in the Town goal.

It would take Hudson’s side 25minutes to respond as they drew the game level. An in-swinging corner from the right by young full-back Mason O’Malley was duly headed home by Luca Colville to level up the scores.

Bolton would snatch all three points through an injury time winner. A cross into the box from Liam Morris found a waiting Jack Earing in the box who headed home to secure the win for the host.

Next up for Town is a game against Burnley next Monday 5 February at PPG Canalside with kick off scheduled for 1pm.

Town’s Starting Line-Up (4-2-3-1):
Rory Brown; Mason O’Malley, Tom Bexton, Martin Cranie, Jordan Williams; Lewis O’Brien, Dean Whitehead; Luca Colville (Olly Dyson, 63’), Matty Daly (Regan Booty, 87’), Dom Tear (Micah Obiero, 71’); Rekeil Pyke
