Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s side returns to action for the first time in 2018 against Birmingham City in the Professional Development League.

The match takes place at the Club’s PPG Canalside Training Ground on Saturday 6 January 2018 and kicks off at noon; you can support Town’s youngsters and attend the match for free!

Led by newly appointed Academy Manager Leigh Bromby, Town’s Under-18s currently sit second in the Professional Development League.

The Young Terriers are only behind table-toppers Bolton Wanderers on goal difference and have a game in hand on the Trotters.

This will be the youngsters’ first game in three weeks as the Under-18s schedules stopped over the Christmas period.

In their last outing Leigh Bromby’s side was beaten on penalties in the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup.

The Young Terriers fought back from a goal down after Micah Obiero scored a deserved equaliser before a penalty shoot-out went to penalties with visiting goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond the hero.

Saturday’s opponent Birmingham City currently sit fifth in the U18 Professional Development League collecting 23 points from 15 games, four points behind Town.

Managed by Academy Manager Kristjaan Speakman and Academy Head of Coaching Stuart English, the Blues come into the match off the back of a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest.

The two sides met earlier this season in the PDL with Leigh Bromby’s youngsters winning 3-2 thanks to goals from Matty Daly, George Danaher and Olly Dyson.
