Huddersfield Town defender Mathias Zanka took part in the latest Kia Challenge and went into detail about the Club’s season so far and settling into life in England.
Town’s Commercial Manager for Partnerships John Williams put his own twist on carpool karaoke and drove the brand new Kia Stinger whilst chatting to Zanka about Huddersfield Town.
The pair discussed numerous topics ranging from the step-up into the Premier League and the difference in community in England to Denmark.
Mathias Zanka discussed which team he has found it toughest to play against this season and explained why he believes Mesut Özil and Harry Kane have been the best players he’s come up against.
Not only this but he revealed some interesting stories about his teammates and discussed his hopes for Denmark in this summer’s World Cup.
Zanka also admitted that he was most surprised by Philip Billing when he joined the Club.
“Phil Billing impressed me the most actually,” revealed the centre-back.
“Phil is Danish, and you don’t hear about him in Denmark; no-one knew about it him before we came into the Premier League.
“There was little bit of news about him when Huddersfield Town was doing well last season and I remember that and looking at the news outlets thinking ‘who is that’ as I’d never heard of this guy before, literally no-one had.
“I think coming over here you can see he’s a good player and why he’s been doing well in the Sky Bet Championship.
“Coming in you can see his ability, the things he can do with a football and what he can do on the pitch really impressed me the most. He over exceeded my expectations.”
The KIA Challenges will continue to run throughout the season as the Club’s Partnership with Kia Longley Park blossoms.
