Huddersfield Town can confirm that Kasey Palmer has been recalled from his loan by parent club Chelsea.

The 21 year-old re-joined the Terriers this summer after a successful season-long loan during the Championship promotion season of 2016/17, but he’s made only two starts and three substitute appearances this term after missing three months with a hamstring injury.

Chelsea has now exercised its option to recall Kasey during the January 2018 transfer window.

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner explained:

“Kasey is a great character and we’d like to wish him all the best for the future as he returns to Chelsea.

“He was a big part in our successful promotion to the Premier League, but the hamstring injury he suffered made it difficult for him this season. He has struggled to hit his best level since his return to training and that’s why he hasn’t been able to earn a position in the team.”
