Huddersfield Town attacking midfielder Jack Payne has joined Sky Bet League 1 side Blackburn Rovers on loan until 6 May 2018 inclusive.

If Blackburn Rovers is involved in the EFL Sky Bet League 1 Play-Offs then Jack’s loan will be extended to cover the period of additional games.

The 23 year-old will link up with the Lancashire club after being recalled from his loan spell at fellow Sky Bet League 1 side Oxford United.

Jack impressed during his loan spell with the U’s in the first half of the 2017/18 campaign, making 33 appearances with 27 coming in Sky Bet League 1.

During his 33 matches for Oxford United, Jack contributed to 19 goals (seven goals and 12 assists) as Pep Clotet’s side sat 10th in the third-tier of English football.

Payne will now join Blackburn Rovers, who currently sits third in the Sky Bet League 1 table, under the guidance of Tony Mowbray.

Rovers currently has 14 more points than Oxford United in the league and Jack could make his debut on Saturday 20 January as the Club travels to Fleetwood Town.
