New Huddersfield Town recruit Terence Kongolo told #HTTV he wanted to join the Club as soon as he spoke to Head Coach David Wagner.

The 23 year-old defender admitted he’s excited to make a step-up to play in the Premier League discussing that is has always been one of his dreams.

Terence went into detail on why David Wagner was a big pulling factor for him the Terriers and explained what Town’s Head Coach told him about the Club, the fans and the local area.

He explained how he can play both at centre-back and at left-back, how he was looking forward to playing front of a sold-out John Smith’s Stadium and how the move is easier for him because members of his family already live in England.

When speaking to #HTTV after signing Terence said:

“I am very happy (to join Huddersfield Town) because it’s a good step for me and I get to play in the Premier League; I’m happy to make this step.

“I spoke before I came to the Head Coach and he gave me a lot of confidence. I think the Premier League is a big step for me and I want to show my quality.

“I have seen that Huddersfield Town has been doing well, so I’m happy for them and I think we can continue to do some good work.

“The Head Coach told me I was good for this system; he told me I could make a step in the Premier League.

“I’ve heard about the home games and that the fans make a lot of the noise. For me I like football with passion and the fans always give you more power to play in the games.”
