Both the Huddersfield Town Academy sides are in action this weekend with Leigh Bromby’s Under-18 side kicking off the action with a top of the table clash on Saturday morning.
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 11am at PPG Canalside ahead of the First Team’s Fourth Round FA-Cup tie against Birmingham City.
Burnley U18s sit top with 32 points from 17 games played whilst Town have 30 points from the same number of games played. Thus, a Town win would see them overtake the Clarets to take top spot of the Professional Development League North Division.
Burnley most recently beat Birmingham City 4-3, whilst Town’s last match was their 3-1 victory at Barnsley, with last weekend’s scheduled game against Sheffield Wednesday postponed.
On Monday, the Under-23s will play at Bolton’s home of the Lancashire FA County Ground, Thurston Road, Leyland, PR25 2LF, with the game scheduled for a 7pm kick-off. Fans can go and support Mark Hudson’s side with admission priced at £3 for adults and £1 concessions.
Mark Hudson’s side were in action last Monday as they were condemned to a narrow 1-0 defeat by West Yorkshire rivals, Leeds United at Elland Road.
The Under-23s will be in for a tough game as they face top-of-the-table Bolton Wanderers having collected 31 points from its opening 17 games.
An array of food will be available from the Perrys Fanzone, so why not get your lunch and watch the Under-18s in action before heading over to the John Smith’s Stadium to watch the First Team in action.
Updates from both games will be available via the designated Academy Twitter account; @htafcacademy.
