Huddersfield Town Club Captain Tommy Smith expects another tough game as the Terriers travel to St. Andrew’s for an Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round Replay against Birmingham City.

Tommy went on to explain how Town can learn from the 1-1 draw against the Blues earlier and how the Club has welcomed another match to help build up match fitness ahead of an important Premier League season.

Town’s Club Captain explained how every win no matter the competition can build confidence in the dressing room and that the chance of playing Manchester United in the Fifth Round provides the players with extra motivation.

Smith praised the fans for sticking by the team during the current run of form, whilst admitting that Town will focus on itself despite Birmingham City’s good run of form.

Ahead of the match, Tommy commented:

“There’s not been man easy games this season and this is certainly another tough one!

“Birmingham performed well when they came to our place a couple of weeks ago and now we’ve got to go there, put on a performance and get into the next round.

“We will be going to St. Andrew’s looking to win, the Head Coach wants us to win and there’s a carrot at the end of it being Manchester United.

“The chance of playing Man Utd three times in a season doesn’t come around very often, so we are definitely going there to progress into the next round.”
