Both Academy in action this weekend

- Under-23s travel to Barnsley on Friday lunchtime
- Under-18s host Hull City at 11am on Saturday

Both the Huddersfield Town Academy sides are action this weekend, with Mark Hudson’s Under-23 side kicking off the action on Friday afternoon.

Mark Hudson’s side will visit Yorkshire face Barnsley for a game at the First Team Training Complex, in close proximity to the Tykes stadium Oakwell.

Lead by Paul Harsley, Barnsley currently sit just a point above Town in the Professional Development League North Standings.

The game will be the second of the week for the Under-23s, with Monday’s game ending in a 3-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday. You can see highlights from that game:

There was a return to action for 22-year-old centre-back Jon Gorenc Stanković for his first outing since suffering an ACL injury in March 2017.

Sixth placed Barnsley last played on Monday, losing 1-0 to Everton in the second-leg of the Cup following a stalemate in the first-leg.

The Under-18s will play its first game since early February as they lost in a top-of-the-table clash with Bolton Wanderers.

They welcome back Matty Daly who returns from international duty with England’s U17 side, the attacking midfielder has represented the Three Lions in the 2018 Algarve Cup.

Leigh Bromby’s side take on eighth place Hull City at PPG Canalside. Led by Richard Naylor, the South Yorkshire men beat Crewe Alexandra 3-1 in their last fixture.

You can come and watch the young Reds in action; kick off is at 1pm on the Oakwell Training Ground, entry is FREE for all fans.

Fans are reminded that parking is ONLY PERMITTED in the South Stand car park. Fans DO NOT have access to the North Stand car park or on-street parking which is for residents ONLY.
