The game also marked the return of 22 year-old centre-back Jon Gorenc Stanković, who appeared in a Town shirt for the first time since suffering an ACL injury in March 2017. Jon played for 45 minutes as he looks to re-gain match fitness.
Alongside Jon, First Team winger Sean Scannell also started for the young side to build up his match fitness after returning from a loan spell at Burton Albion.
Goals from Dom Tear, Regan Booty and Olly Dyson helped fire Mark Hudson’s Under-23s side to victory in the Professional Development League match.
