Huddersfield Town defender Scott Malone spoke to #HTTV ahead of the Club’s Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round match against Manchester United.
Malone explained that the Terriers can take confidence from already beating Manchester United this season and hopes he will get his chance to take on the Red Devils.
The left-back explained what the players can learn from the matches against Man Utd earlier this season, explained that you have to beat the bigger sides to progress in the competition and how the side is firmly focused on picking up more momentum after two consecutive wins.
He also discussed how he has had to get used to the physical demands of the Premier League, explaining that he is now the fittest he has been in his career.
Looking ahead to the Manchester United match, Scott Malone commented:
“We’ve got Manchester United for the third time this season and for me personally I haven’t played against them, apart from two or three minutes so hopefully I’ll be on the turf Saturday night; we are all looking forward to it.
“They’re a good side and put you under a lot of pressure. We’ve played a deep block against them twice now, beat them at home and lost away.
“It’ll be interesting to see what we do Saturday as there’s no points to play for.
“We want a good cup run and we are going into the game to win it.”
