After a goalless first half, Rajiv van La Parra broke the deadlock just three minutes into the second half, recording his fifth Huddersfield Town goal of the season. Steve Mounié went on to double the lead in the 56th minute, latching onto a through ball from Alex Pritchard and coolly slotting past Ben Foster in the West Brom goal.
The host pulled one back nine minutes later as Craig Dawson headed home a Chris Brunt corner, but it turned out to be only a consolation as a resilient Huddersfield Town held out to secure all three points in the Midlands.
